I use MakeSense Advanced Anti Aging Foundation in the shade Dewy. Message me to help color match you!
Once you’ve applied your foundation you are going to need Candlelight, Snow, Moca Java, Mulberry, and Garnet ShadowSense.
Use Candlelight as a concealer. With it’s peachy tint, it will cover up any blues or darkness in your skin especially under your eyes.
Use Snow as a highlighter to brighten up underneath your eyes. This is especially helpful for any puffiness or bags to help brighten up those shadows and give the illusion that they aren’t there. If you want a full contour, use it to also brighten the bridge of your knows, the center of your forehead, your cupid’s bow, and the face of your chin.
Use Moca Java for contouring the hollows of your cheeks, your jawline, and the perimeter of your forehead. The shape you are making is a 3.
Use Mulberry on the apples of your cheeks for blush.
For redheads or dark brown-haired beauties, use Garnet for filling in your brows. For blonde bombshells, use Moca Java and for black-haired babes, use Onyx. For the perfect combo, you can mix the three as needed.
Now for the eyes! You will need Moca Java Shimmer, Smoked Topaz, Garnet, Onyx, Pink Opal Shimmer ShadowSense, and Black LashSense.
Use Moca Java Shimmer in your crease and pull it out toward your brow bone.
Use Smoked Topaz as the base on your lid.
Use Garnet in your crease to darken it up pulling it toward the outer corner, but not as far as you brought Moca Java Shimmer out.
Use Onyx to line your bottom lashline/waterline.
Blend Onyx into your bottom lash line with Smoked Topaz.
Go back in with Smoked Topaz on the base of your lid to add more green.
Add a pop of Pink Opal Shimmer to the inner corner of your eyes and in the center of your lid.
Coat top and bottom lashes in LashSense mascara
Clean up the edges of your shadows with Foops! Remover for a cleaner look.
Apply a thin layer of Cocoa LipSense, wait 10 seconds for it to dry, apply a second and third layer waiting for it to dry in between then apply glossy gloss to cure.
For a little more sparkle, pop some gold glitter gloss in the center of your lips and rub them together.
This gorgeous, vampy red is everything you want. I love wearing this color on it’s own for a beautifully edgy dark wine lip that has the class of a red and the boldness of a berry. Additionally, Mulled Wine is the best to layer with when you want a classic red tone darkened up and enriched.
Mulled Wine adds color to a black ensemble without being too shockingly bright. It’s a classic, romantic, and seductive shade for date nights and formal affairs. This wine color pairs well with camo greens and burgundys as well. Cheers to beautiful, lasting fall lips! Want to try Mulled Wine for yourself? Click here.
You’re at your favorite coffee shop sipping on a caramel macchiato and brooding over the romance in the Charlotte Brontë novel you are currently reading. It’s the weekend and you wanted to get out of the house, but didn’t actually want to do something. Cocoa is your lip color of choice. It’s neutral enough to not feel committed, but it’s enough to make a statement and keep you pulled together. The gorgeous red undertones keep the color grounded reminding you the leaves are falling outside.
Cocoa is the missing piece to tying your outfit’s ensemble together. You don’t have to worry about conflicting colors with this natural, warm brown. Its red hints drive it away from being a stark, unflattering, dark brown. It’s a pleasant surprise that will dress up a makeup look or add the finishing touch. Try it with a matte gloss for a completely different look! Want Cocoa for yourself? Click here.
Napa is a sweet, berry color that stays true to its berry roots, but is modern enough to incorporate some red undertones. Different skin tones will bring out more of the red while on others it may pull more purple. This is a must have for anyone who loves berries, but doesn’t want something as dark as Plum.
I like to think of Napa as your companion on a weekend getaway to a vineyard for wine tasting. It’s the kind of color that makes you feel pretty when you wear it. Fitting to be paired with burgundys, berries, and deep greens.
The lovely Napa! A very feminine, wine colored berry that still gives you a leg up on fall without going uncomfortably dark. For my eye look today I used Moca Java Shimmer, Garnet, Mulberry and Pink Opal Shimmer – and of course Onyx for liner. Click here to try Napa for yourself.
Oh, Nutmeg … you are the e”pit”ome of fall. A gorgeous shimmering brown with orange and red undertones. It’s the mature older cousin to Persimmon that screams stylish and professional. Trendy and sophisticated. And might I add totally in season come fall. It’s the pumpkin spiced latte of LipSense colors, but to share with you a secret – you can wear this year round!
You might be surprised, but Nutmeg is so complimentary that it can be worn with most colors and outfits. With an orange base, it is easily paired with other warm colors and being opposite on the color wheel of blue it will compliment by making both colors pop. Since orange is in nature related more to brown and this color contains a brown element, it still has a natural coloring to it as well making it a perfect choice.
Nutmeg pulls more red on me with my hair and with the scarf I’m wearing. Its undertones can favor orange, red, and brown and can pull toward the ones that you are wearing. Either way, the result is gorgeous! If you’d like to try Nutmeg, click here.
👢Nude is for sure a Kylie Lip Kit dupe. It’s an opaque, matte, neutral color that is chill and classy 💁♀️for those days when you want something laid back and not over the top. Nude is the equivalent of a nice, warm cup of tea or coffee. It’s a comfy fit for your lips.
You can wear this color with anything as it can help give you a more finished makeup look for a casual, everyday outfit and yet with something more fancy it will never overpower what you are already wearing. It gives you the ability to dazzle with your threads instead. Click here to try Nude for yourself.
If I’m being honest, I will say I had no idea what to expect when I first saw this color. It looked WAY too orange for me. I was blown away when I tried it on. It’s not bright like I was thinking it was going to be. It’s a muted orange so it has this vintage vibe to it and it ended up filling a cosmetic void I never knew was there. Definitely one of my favorite fall go-tos!
Persimmon is a totally underrated swiss army knife that can be super versatile. It can give you that pop of color while still being subtle. This color works great to pull out any oranges in an outfit as well as contrast against lighter and darker colors, and will pop with blues (like denim!!). I love the idea of pairing it with a casual, denim jacket and a fall, floral dress that has pops of orange in it as well as an edgy, vintage, rock tee and a black, leather jacket. Click here to try Persimmon for yourself.
Plum is one of most gorgeous berry colors. In a recent study, it was shown that deep reds, plums, AND even a black lip color gives the impression that you are intelligent, sophisticated, professional, creative and have cutting edge style — basically you look like you know what’s up. Nervous about trying dark colors? It’s just makeup! And although lipsense lasts a super long time, it isn’t permanent and can come off so journey outside of your comfort zone, have some fun, and give it a try! Not into dark colors, layer it with a lighter color to make it not so deep.
Plum is great for a dressed up look or an everyday look. It will make green and hazel eyes pop and if you pair it with a green top or jacket it will make your lips pop. Of course, it will also compliment any other berry colors you are wearing. I love wearing Plum with mustard yellow, camo green, and even teal.
Sometimes I will go with purple and mauve eyes with Plum, however this is my FAVORITE everyday look for my eyes because I can pair it with any color. && Since ShadowSense is a cream-to-powder and has a doe foot applicator, I can use it for concealer, highlighter, brows, eyeliner, blush, and contouring as well!
I use: Candlelight Sandstone Pearl Shimmer Garnet Onyx
Candlelight goes all over my lid. Candlelight is a great concealer as well. I placed Sandstone Pearl Shimmer at the inner corners of my eyes and on my brow bone for highlight which can also be used as a face highlighter. Garnet I used in my crease, eyeliner for my bottom lashline, and for my brows (lighter hair go with Moca Java for brows). Then I lined my upper lashline with Onyx. You could easily turn this into a smokey eye by adding Onyx to the crease.
To top it all off I’m wearing Plum and Glossy.

Say what?! I’ve never heard of such a thing. Every stain and lipstick that claims to be “kiss-proof” or lasts more than 4 hours that I’ve tried has always been a disappointment. Then one day, as I was scrolling through Facebook, I came across this video …
“What magic is this?!” I wondered.
I had to try this to see if it really worked so I started researching it. The product is called LipSense by a company called SeneGence. It’s a direct selling company that has been around since the 90s selling anti-aging skin care and cosmetics, but is just now starting to get a lot of exposure due to their LipSense products.
What is LipSense?
When you first purchase LipSense, you get a LipKit that comes with three products: the color, gloss, and Ooops! remover. The LipSense products are vegan, not tested on animals, non GMO, gluten free, wax free, and lead free. There are over 70 colors and you can layer them to create your own unique color for endless possibilities. The color creates a molecular bond to your lips that is budge-proof, smudge-proof, water-proof, and kiss-proof.
The gloss is able to penetrate the color and be absorbed by your lips for optimal hydration. The gloss has shea butter that will moisturize and lock in the color to keep it looking fresh and help it last for up to 18 hrs. The color and gloss work hand in hand. With the natural ingredients of LipSense, it will break down any wax buildup on your lips from other lipsticks and chapsticks that have caused a wax barrier to form on your lips.
Although that wax barrier will protect your lips from the environment, it also blocks moisture and often times leaves your lips feeling more dry as a result. LipSense will put your lips through an exfoliation process in the beginning that will work to remove the wax layers and build up so you can see optimal results with hydrated lips and long lasting color.
The Ooops! remover helps you to touch up any mistakes if need be as well as remove it if you want it off sooner than later. The longer it is left on the easier it will be to remove with your desired cleanser/makeup remover. Using any other product will break the molecular bond and you will notice the color starting to break down. It is recommended to avoid using any other lip products as it will be counterproductive and prolong the exfoliation process.
1 tube of LipSense = 4 tubes of regular lipstick
Shelf life is 2 years
A tube of LipSense will last 4-6 months when used daily
Each color can be layered with one another
You can use the tip of the applicator for lip liner
How do you apply LipSense?
Make sure you start off with clean, dry lips. Shake the tube of color and in one stroke from side to side apply the color to your lip. Wait 5-10 seconds for it to dry, apply a second coat, wait for it to dry and a third coat, wait for it to dry. Do not let your lips touch during the color application. Color may flake off if layers are too thick. Avoid streaking by applying in one direction. The first layer touches the skin’s PH and will break down first and fastest. The second layer is protected from the PH by the first layer while the third layer protects the second layer from the environmental factors that will break it down.
When you first apply the color, you may notice a tingle from the cosmetic alcohol evaporating as it touches your lips and leaves the color behind. Once your color is applied, you can touch up with the Ooops! Remover if need be and apply your gloss.
My Experience with LipSense
I told you I was skeptical, right? So I ordered two colors: Plum and Praline Rose. Plum is a deep berry color and Praline Rose is more of a neutral mauve color. Here are the results of testing it out:
Is it budge-proof? Yes. Does the color transfer? Nope.
First picture: 7am right after application of Praline Rose. Middle picture: 10 hours later at 5:00pm after a full day of eating, drinking, licking lips, kissing, breathing, and living life with no touchups since first application – not even a coat of gloss (which is recommended to keep lips feeling hydrated). Last picture: 5:00pm minutes later with a coat of gloss.
First picture: 7am right after application of Plum.
A different day, again wearing Plum. Application was at 7am, first photo taken at 8:30am and second photo taken at 10:30pm 15 1/2 hrs later with no touchups – not even gloss – after a full day of again living life including working out and showering with it on.
Is it long lasting? Yes! Now, let’s be real and honest for a moment here. It does not look picture perfect like the initial application at the end of the day. Don’t expect that. Color and longevity will depend on the PH balance of your skin and application. If you’re treating your lips rough by biting and picking at them, it’s not going to last as long. If you’re using a different brand gloss, it’s not going to last as long and if you’re using other wax lip products the exfoliating process will take much, much longer and your color will not last as long.Oils and grease will break it down quicker and not applying gloss throughout the day will make your lips look and feel more dry.
How much is LipSense?
It’s $55 for a LipKit that includes your color, gloss, and remover. For a first time buyer, this is what is recommended, however once you purchase your initial LipKit you can purchase colors individually for $25, different gloss finishes (including matte!) individually for $20, and Ooops! Removers individually for $10.
Yes, $55 can be a lot for someone, but not only is it worth the cost for the quality of the product and what is has to offer, but keep in mind these fun facts:
1 tube of LipSense = 4 tubes of regular lipstick
Shelf life is 2 years
A tube of LipSense will last 4-6 months when used daily
Does this product work and do what it claims to? Yes. It is the best lip product out on the market, I would say, for its longevity, color options, and customization. I’m a huge advocate for it being natural and following good, ethical practices in its production as well. Looking at the comparison of quantity for cost as compared to other popular cosmetic brands, you’ll find that you are actually getting more for your money with LipSense.
How and where do I purchase LipSense?
As I mentioned in the beginning, SeneGence, the creator of LipSense, is a direct sales company. You will have to find a distributor selling the product to order. You can visit the SeneGence website and search for a distributor in your area or visit Good Morning, Lovely Cosmetics on Facebook and send me a message directly and I can help you find the right color for your first LipKit.
I look forward to hearing from you and happy makeup-ing!
Running short on gift ideas, low on a budget, or is procrastination bringing your holiday spirit down? Try this sweet, little gift made from items that you more than likely have in your home already. This peppermint lip scrub is festive, tasty, great for anyone AND will show the person you give it to that you care about them and their skin. The sugar in this scrub acts as an exfoliant scraping away dead skin and the coconut oil moisturizes them leaving you with kissably soft lips. What a great gift for your significant other!
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Small jar for storage
5 drops of peppermint essential oil – therapeutic grade for ingestion
15 peppermint candies
Experiment with the quantity of sugar, coconut oil, and honey in order to get the right consistency for your preference and size of the container you are using. For example, if you want it to be a rougher scrub, use more sugar. Don’t add as much sugar if you have sensitive skin.
Mix, Mix, Mix!
Add all of your ingredients to a food processor and blend them until they are mixed together with small sized peppermint candy chunks sprinkled throughout it. The candy should have turned your scrub into a pretty, pale, pink color. Transfer your scrub into a jar, tie a ribbon around it, and you’re ready to wrap it up and gift it!
