Meet Amanda

I started blogging in 2012 as an outlet of expression and have fallen in love with it so much that it has evolved alongside me. I majored in photographic technology and have had both my photography and writing published, having received numerous awards for both. I enjoy dabbling in many art forms including makeup. I'm a trained beauty consultant and have grown up in a holistic home where we used all natural products and alternative remedies for health care. My true passion is encouraging, motivating, and inspiring women to create the freedom to discover their purpose and embrace their passions. Currently living and serving in Flint, MI, a misunderstood city with a lot of forgotten and untapped potential. I've been blessed with my wonderful husband, Jonathan, my sweet son, Landon, and our fur babies, Gatsby and Isabel. I'm one of the rare INFJs and an old soul chasing after a beautiful life. I love the smell of vintage dust laden books and listening to records of The Beatles. I'm an adventurer with dreams of traveling the world and I find comfort in creativity.

What is Good Morning, Lovely About?

"Good Morning, Lovely is an online brand and lifestyle blog by Amanda Rodden focused on providing you with content and products that encourage, motivate, and inspire you to create a beautiful life by discovering your purpose and embracing your passions. The content and products here are created to aid you in achieving a beautiful life through productivity, health, beauty, home decor, and travel. A beautiful life is created by having your self and your environment balanced. Your physical self is impacted emotionally, mentally, relationally, and spiritually. Your environment is impacted financially and aesthetically. If any of these things are off balance then you aren't living the best version of life you possibly could be. Everything produced by Good Morning, Lovely falls in line with helping you balance yourself physically, emotionally, mentally, relationally, spiritually, environmentally, financially, and aesthetically so that you can design your life and love your life.

My thoughts on Good Morning, Lovely...

I've always been attracted to the concept of beauty. With time, I have realized that beauty affects my perspective of the world so greatly that it has actually become something I use to measure everything against. My happiness has become a derivative of aesthetics. I find joy in having my appearance look the way I want it to, my home the way I want it to, and my life to look the way I want it to. Beauty is subjective and its meaning is as unique and different as every individual. I started Good Morning, Lovely as a place to collect inspiring and encouraging thoughts, ideas, and tips that help motivate the women reading it to pursue what it means to create a beautiful life for themselves.

For me, this means creating a life that allows me to travel, work from home, and pursue my passions for a living. This means enjoying the little things like making my son laugh, cuddling with my fur babies, fairy lights, bath bombs and clay masks, red lips and winged liner, Christmas-scented candles,  Whole Foods, and the sounds of a record starting up on a turntable. I want my life to be filled with the things I love and I don't want to have to worry about finances in order to get to a place where I'm enjoying life.

Most importantly, I don't want any woman reading this to feel like she can't enjoy her life because she can't afford to. I certainly don't want another woman to have to miss seeing their baby crawl for the first time while she was at work because she didn't have another choice.

My goal is for this blog to provide you with the tools that confidently get you to the place where you have a choice. My dream is to inspire, encourage, motivate, support and help guide women to the best of my God-given ability to discover and embrace their purpose, pursue their passions, and wake up to a beautiful life.

You are beautiful and capable of creating the life you imagine for yourself. Believe this as truth and feel empowered to claim your identity and pursue your purpose. May you always wake up in the morning truly knowing your priceless value and how lovely of a person you are.
